tour bus, the bus plunged 100 feet off a major highway after slamming into several cars slowed by heavy traffic. at least 37 people were killed. another 11 people on board were injured, 2 in critical condition. we're learn iing more about the deadly crash involving a church bus in indianapolis. the youth pastor, his pregnant wife and a congregation member were killed and 19 others injured when the bus carrying about 40 passengers overturned. the driver told police the vehicle's brake's had failed. a bus was rushed from flood waters. none of the passengers were injured. middle east peace talks resume today in washington. the l the last obstacle was cleared when israel agreed to release prisoners after more than three years of delays the two sides will be at the state department

hosted by john kerry. tracie potts is live for us this morning in washington. >> reporter: good morning. agreeing to release prisoners so talks can get started wasn't the most popular decision in israel. there were protests in georgia sa from people who just don't believe that these peace talks are going to get very far or should start based on the preconditions. but what we have today starting at the state department is this. four people, two from israel, including israel's justice minister, and two from the palestinian authority including their chief negotiator are sitting down for preliminary talks, sketching out how these negotiations would go about. and as you noted, it's been three years since the last talks fell apart and they fell apart over the issue of israeli settlements. there's some concern that if those continue to be built

more than any hurricane that's moved through the area. eight inches of rain is too much for any location. you'll get some pretty crazy flooding. it's amazing that it wasn't widespread. everyone else had a quarter inch. all the rain and gloomy weather has pretty much exited. a lo of clouds are lingering in new england. the sun will poke out and drier air will move in during the day. the big weather story will be a tropical storm heading for a very unusual place, hawaii. the storm does not look as impressive today as it did last night or yesterday. the winds are starting to come down a bit. so the storm is in a weakening state. it will move over the big island of hawaii throughout the day today. that's 8:00 p.m. east coast time it will be exiting. south of honolulu and exiting to south. the other story was the chilly air in the great lakes. that will remain today. not quite as cool, but still 70s. end of july is typically a hot

train that derailed last week killing 79 people has been charged with negligent homicide. it crashed into a wall at high speeds after failing to make a sharp turn. pope francis wrapped up his trip to brazil with a mass on the beach. 3 million people jammed on to the beach to get a glimpse of the pontiff. and authorities say a staggering $53 million in jewels were stolen from a hotel in france over the weekend. police say the brazen theft took place around noon in broad daylight. they are calling it one of europe's biggest jewelry heists in recent years. . and now for your "first look" at business, we turn to hampton pearson. >> futures are lower across the board after friday. the nasdaq seeing three straight days of gains.
